The teacher is American. The student is African. He's not her student anymore, but he still goes to the same school where she works. Just curious. BTW, the school doesn't prohibit this type of relationship. It "strongly discourages" it.

Statuatory rape. Gender doesnt matter. The fact that one is only 15 and the other is 25, not to mention a former teacher and person who was and, as far as the courts will see it, still is in a position of authority over the younger person, just makes the entire situation wrong. Depending on what state the girl is from she is anywhere from 1 to 3 years from being "legal" and "consentual", given that ages vary in the US from 16 to 18. However almost every state has a guideline that if the elder person is in a "position of authority" which the older person will clearly be shown to be in given her status as a former teacher, the age is almost always 18. Long story short, if the elder person lays a finger on the younger and is caught, she can enjoy spending the next few years in jail. And yes, I read into this that it is more than "friendship", but frankly if it was only "friendship" this question would never of needed to be asked.

Heres the thing hon! You got to 33, and its a fabulous age. Do you really want to do the 25 year old thing again?

Wrong? No. Immoral? No. Is the student in that teacher's class? Definitely a conflict of interests.

I don't think there is anything wrong here. They are both adults and if they like each other they should go for it.

I dated a younger professor for a while. it was alright. if he is no longer a student and you arent causing troubles with current students (i.e. he isnt buddies with them) then I dont see the problem
