This is a difficult question to answer because we own several kinds but my favorite type of dog is one no one else wants anymore. It pee ed on the carpet, chewed the furniture, the owner just dumped it out of a car, was chained to a tree, run over by a car, previous owner beat it, owner moved away and forced it to fend for itself, previous owner died, was the wrong size for breeding, was going to be put down in 2 more days, ran away from someone who just paid $50 for it, was so mean that no one could like it. We have 15 dogs by choice right now but have owned dogs that have died of old age over the past 24 years and the above are actual reasons dogs became members of our family. We don't suggest owning this many dogs without having a good vet, lots of space for the dogs to play and time to spend with them. We are responsible owners too and they are spayed and neutered.

Jack Russell Terrier. They are intelligent, active and can make a excellent dog for type A personalities. They never stop living life to Busting and take you along for the ride too!

My favorite dog is a shelter dog. You are giving him/her a second chance at life after they have been thrown away. We live in such a disposable society and it is so very sad. People do things on a whim and then 3 months down the road it's not fun anymore so out goes mutt or kitty.
But shelter dogs are great, its recycling.
SPAY AND NEUTER YOUR PETS. THANK YOU!

Labs are my favorite dogs. They're such versatile, wonderful companions. I love their eyes. Those deep, intelligent eyes. And those floppy ears! :-) I want my girl really bad so we can start going to shows.
Sibes are awesome dogs too but Labradors are still my all time favorite dogs.

Smartest dog I ever had was a black lab. Not the tall square headed kind but the shorter round headed kind. Tremendously smart.

My favourite is Dalmatian. They love to play like puppies even when they're old. But they need lots of exercise, a big yard and high fences.
