the girl is somewhat shy. I asked her out once before, she said yes and the next day said that she answered to fast and we needed to be better friends first. so the I let her set the next date but she canceled and said that she thought that as far as we would get is friends and that she was uncomfortable last time we hung out and was not going to put her self in that position. and I don't want her to be uncomfortable but I really like her and need help on how we can spend time together (as friends or more) without her being uncomfortable.

Okay... she was uncomfortable probably because she hasn't done this that often and I'm predicting you're pretty young yourself. But there is some good news for you. She is definately interested in you to say "yes" and go out with you in the first place, but probably it didn't turn out as she expected.

Take things slow and don't rush her and don't really classify it as a "date" per se because you'll intimidate her more. Here's a dating loop hole you can try on her and try to be creative on this -- but before you do, make sure you two talk frequently and are comfortable holding a conversation first -- it won't work out if you don't talk much to each other. Okay here goes:

1. be playful and make a bet wit her - who ever loses the bet has to treat the other person for lunch of whatever (not betting on money but like questions).
2. have a competition with her - and of course the loser does something and just be playful with her

I think you need to back away a little bit. She's not being receptive to you. You should say hi - how are you once in a while - but start moving on. This usually makes the other person wonder why you haven't kept on pursuing them and will call you.

her shyness is making her uncomfortable. she is probably not used to dating and is scared of the concept. what i would do is just talk to her on the phone for while and she will get to know you better that way. you can also talk online via instant messenger. once she is comfortable that way then she will be more comfortable hanging out with you. believe me i'm the shy type so i know how she feels.

then tell her that you'll stop calling it a 'date' and just go off and do fun things so you get to know each other better, and in time be more comfortable. heck, invite other friends (hers and yours but not too many).
like, don't do things where you'll be confronting her (eating dinner and having to talk the whole time)
do things like, play mini-golf or whatever. nothing where you're too close to her personal space yet and nothing remotely romantic yet.

since she knows your interested, she'll say something if she feels ready or not. if it doesn't happen- hey, such is life. move on =)

Is they're a way you guys could go and do something as a group? Like with a bunch of friends and people that way; she possibly will feel more comfortable and you could warm up to her that way. She can see you around other people and judge you for herself.

Evidently she doesnt want to date you and if shes not comfortable going on dates dont push it. Do you have mutual friends? If so, you could hang out as a group, but understand that she doesnt want to be more than friends so dont push her or she wont even be your friend and then you'll have nothing.

And if he makes a humorous tale approximately it,merely do not talk to him and he gets the message. particular he could see you a large quantity-even nonetheless it particularly comes right down to who he cares approximately greater then "I see you continuously, I via no ability see my acquaintances" try speaking it out with him If that doesn't artwork merely forget approximately him for a on the comparable time.

I'd say if she's that uncomfortable, let her make the first move.

If you simply can't...ask her to join you AND A GROUP of friends (hers and yours). That way, she doesn't have to worry about being alone with you.

Give her time.

Ask her out again after a few days or after a week. Pressuring her to decide might confuse her more.

Try to call her sometimes to make her feel more comfortable.

Do not be so pushy, let her decide the time and the place and respect the fact that right now she just wants to be friends.
