Have you seen the little children at the Westboro Baptist church protests? It's sick, the stuff that they teach them. People seem to think that they should imprint their beliefs onto their children. Why don't they just get cloned, if they aren't going to let the child have a life of its own?

Perhaps you would be interested in reading about the history of Jeffrey Dahmer. He had fundamentalist Christian parents who were homophobic (maybe you already know the story). He went deep into the closet, and then picked up young men at gay bars and such and murdered them. Psychiatrists believe it was a manifestation of his self-hate and hatred towards gays.
I strongly believe any sort of homophobia is IMMORAL and should be punished by the law. This includes teaching it to children.

weather we agree with it or not we want our children to have the same values as we do
Parents that are christian want their children to be Christians, Baptist want their children to be Baptist and Jewish parents what their children to be Jewish.
Even simple things like my father was a truck driver and would have loved my brother being a truck driver.
This also goes for people you think are teaching their children hate. I am not bigot so i of course want my children to have the same beliefs I do.
So I can understand someone how is not comfortable with people of other races wanting their children to think the way they do.
So, No I do not think it is child abuse.

Teaching a child to hate anybody who is different will only lead to having raised an ignorant adult. The world has enough of those. That is not only abuse of a child, but abuse of our society.

It's sure not healthy, but our system is so overwhelmed by the instances of physical abuse that we just have to hope the community can counter any hatred learned at home.

You need to pass on the morals your family believes in and why it believe this way. This is not abuse, it's common sense. A lot of the junk that goes on today is because no one is teaching kids anything about morals. When I went to school they taught morals at home and at school. The biggest problems we had at school were talking and chewing gum. Now that we have neglected to teach morals to our children and let the TV and the streets teach them. Kids are scared to go to school for fear they'll get killed, robbed, or raped. We need to teach our kids morals starting at home.

Abuse is maybe too strong a term, but very very wrong for sure. A child should never be taught to hate, for they lack perspective and generally take most things to extremes if not guided. Hate in all respects should be avoided.

Unfortunately these people are only following their religion, their bible so it is a tough fight.
The end result is they are teaching hate and it is just so sad.

Although I'm not sure if it's technically considered child abuse...it's not a GOOD idea to teach your child hatred for anything or anyone. It leads to all sorts of problems
Like war, death, pain, and suffering...

That's teaching discrimination. It's wrong to be evil and hating a particular group of people. Accept all for who and what they are.
