It's a very common condition called orthostatic or positional hypotension. Most of the time it can be managed by simply getting up slowly. For example, if you are in bed, first prop up with pillows, then sit on the side of the bed, and then, when you feel comfortable, get up.
If it persists or begins happening more frequently, you should see your doctor for a complete checkup to make sure there is not a physical cause for it.
Generally it is benign and will eventually decrease or completely go away on its own. Just take it easy and get up slowly.

You can prevent it by not getting up too quickly. Your blood pressure drops from the sudden movement of getting up too fast.Try to get up more slowly. Maybe you should just sit up first and then stand. For safety sake, have your blood pressure checked. If your vision is still fuzzy when you walk around or whenyou are lying down, see an eye specialist. Vision problems are sometimes associated with blood pressure problems.

Wow the same thing has been happening to me. I was in the emergency room about 9 times because of it in 2006. My doctor said that I could squeeze my fists some throughout the day. My sitting blood pressure is extremely low most of the time. When I stand up my blood pressure raises and that's what causes the fainting, or at least that is what my doctor said for me. The most important thing is to stay hydrated and to stand up slowly. Also make sure that you aren't skipping meals.

OMFG! That happens to me too! You can stop it by standing up slowly. Not so fast -- because if you stand up fast, that sudden rush of blood causes the fuzziness!
