if i have a uk passport how long in days can i stay in canada each year with my gf i wanna live with her and if it works well i will apply to become resident or dual nationality and i am i right in thinking that if it is 6 months i can split that up any way i like

You get an automatic 6 month visitors visa upon entry, however, you cannot work or apply for government assistance. (legaly) If you want to work then you must apply for a work visa, or a student visa, then you are better to talk to the consulate in the UK.

I suspect that it would be the same as New Zealand, there if you arrive you can have an immediate 6 month visitor visa, if you have work then it would be a year renewable. After that you would have to apply for residency and citizenship.

In Visa you can apply for a 3, 6, 9, 12, 24 and unlimeted. also it dependeds on the country

You are in two Commonwealth countries. I think you can live wherever you want. Isn't that how all former British Empire countries in the Commonwealth work? Sorry, wish I knew more.
