A critic is someone who judges work. Critics rate movies, give advice about what went wrong and tell you the good things too. A critique is an evaluation of your work, I assume since this is in painting you may be referring to this, and to your artwork. To critique a painting, a group of people or a teacher will access the quality of the work, the artistic principles utilized, and the successfulness of the work. They will tell you what you did wrong and what you did right.
