It is general disregard for the rules that has become too common in India... For following a rule they need a supervisor..i.e. they obey traffic signs only when a policeman is around.. Also people never repent for their deeds. It is really a very bad scenario...I think the punishments should be really stringent...
Also these people force others who intend to follow the traffic rules also to evade them...

Traffic rules are a bit over protective. I dont see y u shudnt cross an emtpy road even if there is no zebra crossing there (warned by an officer when i did that). Everyone is in a hurry and dont care abt traffic rules.

There are few things to this. 1 we (our drivers) don't care for others. 2. powder and arrogancey every one shows on streets. 3. lack of education and license to every one who bribe police. 4. no lane demarcation on roads. 5.bus lane is not marked on the roads. 6. all heavy vehicles should be move only on left side. If you impliment all this then there will be some defferance.

It only shows the lack of discipline in us. The government has grossly failed in enforcing discipline and making obedience of law a matter of habit in the minds of the people.

Because they don't care for people. They are not bothered about what happens to them or others. They are careless people and selfish. They are a burden to the Society.
