i dated my first bf when i was 14 and he was 15 in HS, we broke up because of stupid rumors that werent tru and insecurities... i moved away we lost touch. Now 8 yrs later i talked to him again on the comp.. he thought i didnt remember what he looked like ( he thought i didnt like him very much to begin with.. but i was just shy and 14!). So thru email i sent him this pic of him i kept on my comp that he sent in 1999! I also told him the one guy i dated within these 8 years was a guy that reminded me of him.. i also remembered his bday after all this time.. Would this flatter a guy???

Yes, don't include the statement that you dated a guy that reminded you of him. Its not necessary.
The fact that you kept the pic is very sweet.
I have done the same thing, I remember little things like their favorite candy bar.

im sure it would. do you want to get back with him or just want to let him know how you feel? if you want to tell him, you should bring it up when you feel it is right. it also depends on what kind of guy he is. you know if he would actually care or listen.
