I was hunting with a friend, who never hunted in his life, and we were about three miles from our vehicle, when we spit up, and went separate ways.
I found some tracks and hunted down a nice buck, and so I had my deer.. I wondered about my friend. It was his first time out hunting..I told him to find some tracks, follow them and he would soon have his deer. Well, my hunter friend did find some tracks, and soon, he was back at the truck..and he
had bagged the most beautiful ... horse..

Excellent question and I'm sure I'll get big thumbs down for the truth. I find few other hunters on this site that think the way we do. Most are basically just meat hunters from what I have read. I hunt Mule deer out here in the west and won't even get excited till I see antlers out past a bucks ears, which is usually about 24"s for a mature Muley. The guys I hunt with are pretty much the same way and I've come home without even filling my tag even though I've seen smaller decent bucks. We pretty much have got to the point now where we just apply for limited entry tags just so we can enjoy a true quality hunt. I didn't even draw this year but now I have another bonus point for next seasons draw! Maybe if more hunters weren't so hard up to just shoot something there'd be some more real nice shooters.
