Hello =)
No, of course not. There are a great number of "enlightened Christians" in the world. I dare say a much higher number than one would think, from the representative speakers here.
I would tend to think that Christians who believe in evolution outnumber those who believe in Creationism by a margin of 4 to 1, at least.
Of course, that is in the real world, which YA! is not a part.
Some will argue that those who believe in evolution are not Christians, but that is nonsense, it just means that they are intelligent Christians. And, there are those who believe in Creation, but work with the premise that Evolution is true....and don't try to reconcile the two. That is also a wise choice for many.
Most Buddhists and Hindus also reject their "creation" myths, and accept evolution as well.
Namaste,
--Tom

Not at all. Many Christians believe the theory of evolution is the best explanation for life on Earth, as do many Muslims, Jews, Buddhists, Sikhs, Hindus, etc.
Religion and science need not be incompatible.

You can believe in a God and still recognize that evolution is scientific fact. Many religions do. Even many Christians do, just not the fanatical evangelical ones.

Nope, that's one of the biggest fallacies I've ever heard. Science and religion are not mutually exclusive. Do you know who taught me that? A Christian scientist who DEFINITELY believes in evolution.

no, a lot of Christians/deists believe that God set the world in motion, and let it evolve from there. Deists believe that God set the world in motion, then left it alone. Think intelligent design.

No. Agnostics, hell even many religious people are taking a more liberal look and leaning towards macro evolution nowadays.

Pretty much people of every religion except fundementalists.
Even the _pope_ says it's OK; I don't think he's atheist.
