i believe this happens so that one strenths /weakness can be shared. we are able to lean one one another when we need to. bf/gf husband/wife as well as other relationships, that we may not even realize.

It can be good or bad, depending on the personalities of the people and how willing they are to understand the other person's point of view.

For example, I am stubborn and so was a guy I once dated, but we were completely opposite on many viewpoints. We had a really hard time making that work...

On the other hand, the awesome thing about our relationship was that we both got to see the world through different eyes when we were together...we taught each other a lot of cool things.

im actually not sure... the guy i like has almost nothing in common with me but we get on really well and hav alot of fun together so as it could b complicated being opposites it could also be a good thing because u learn about things u wouldnt normally and u understand another point of view... as long as ur happy i dont think it really matters... Good luck and God bless =)

Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't, not just in relationships but with people in general, friends, family, the likes

My brother is my COMPLETE opposite, but he's my best friend.
My fiance is JUST LIKE ME and I love her to death.
My exes a few were complete opposite of me and it was a complete fiasco.

But that's me, my friend's gf is the complete opposite to him, i mean COMPLETE, he's loud and obnoxious, she's quiet and reserved, he likes to stay at home, she likes to go out EVERYWHERE...pretty interesting stuff...but they work, they're getting married here pretty soon themselves.

So it's not a bad thing for those who can work with it, for some it's necessary, for others it sucks...part of the variety we have as people.
