The only unforgivable sin is blasphemy against the Holy Spirit. Blasphemy against the Holy Spirit means rejecting Jesus Christ as your Savior. Rejecting Jesus Christ as your personal Savior is the one and only sin that will land you in Hell.

Blasphemy against the holy spirit is the only unforgivable sin. Now you know what it is but if you are like me when I was a new believer, that raised more questions than it answered. Once when Jesus healed a man, the Pharisees said that He was able to do it because He was possessed by an evil spirit. Essentially, they were denying the deity of Christ. An earlier poster gave an example of this when a person dies without Christ. An unbeliever makes a final choice by his death, he turns his back on the way Christ offers. It is the ultimate denial of who Jesus is and what He did.
On the other hand, it is impossible for a believer to commit the unpardonable sin. When you come to Jesus, He becomes part of you. How can you deny something that is part of yourself?

It's not just rejecting Christ, if that were the case many would have committed it. it's knowing without any doubt that Jesus the Christ. Or, in others words, you have no excuse for but to know Jesus is the Christ (of course this is rare considering this usually means you actually saw him); and yet still rejecting him and even going against him. even then it's not really unforgivable, but it is the worst sin and requires a big repentance process.

The only "unforgiveable" sin spoken of in Bible is to reject/despise the Holy Spirit of God Who is the only one who can created faith in our hearts.
Without the Holy Spirit, a person cannot hold onto the promise of salvation in Jesus Christ.
1 Cor 12:3
3 Therefore I tell you that no one who is speaking by the Spirit of God says, "Jesus be cursed," and no one can say, "Jesus is Lord," except by the Holy Spirit.
(from New International Version)
Such a person WOULD NOT be worried about having committed that sin. They wouldn't care.

there are two unforgiven sin:
1. The sin of not forgiving those who have offended you, therefore, God will not forgive your sins.
2. Blasphemy against the holy spirit.

No sin is unforgivable unless you die without Christ. In that case, they are all unforgiven.
Blasphemy of the Holy Spirit is ultimately rejecting him...to the point of eternal consequences.

28Â Truly I say to YOU that all things will be forgiven the sons of men, no matter what sins and blasphemies they blasphemously commit. 29Â However, whoever blasphemes against the holy spirit has no forgiveness forever, but is guilty of everlasting sin.

The Word of God says that there is only one sin you cannot get forgiveness for and that is blaspheming the Holy Spirit. May God Bless U.
