it looks like a scar and goes away in a few days, my friend has this condition, has any one else heard of it or know what causes it?

Your friend needs to visit the doc ASAP. It could be anything. My guess: Candidasis(yeast), Eczema, Ringworm, or even Scabies. Of course you know ringworm and scabies are contagious, so be careful-tell her to see the doctor like, yesterday.

It's ringworm. You can buy OTC cream med. ask you pharmacist. You don't need to go to the doctor for it. Black Walnut tincture also works if you are all natural. Very common and spreads, do not touch it alot. Could show up any where on your body. If it is any of the said below (following answer) black walnut tincture will work on all of them, unless it's scabies, which it's not. Did you mean a ring all the way around the neck and/ or chest, that's scarlet fever... that would need doctor.

A raised, ring-like rash is usually ringworm. Contagious, not serious, but needs to be treated. Could also be something else since I can't see it... but next time it appears I would have a doctor check it out.

Go to a doctor now don't fool around! don't diagnose your self! Never be your own lawyer or doc you have a fool for a client if you do! sounds uncomfortable need to get it looked at! God bless if you have no insurance find a free clinic
