...there's this guy i've known for a few years now & we've had our up and downs. this past year we finally said we'd do our best to make our relationship stronger - as friends. well, the point is i truly havn't moved on & he's already had a couple of girlfriends after me. At skoo i'm the nicest girl to him, not clingy, but i put effort into trying to make time for us. at times he'll lead me on & others, simply ignore me. infront of me - he can easily flirt w. a girl, me on the other hand, i can't ( w. guys.) he's brought me places & left me hanging, never calls for special events including my b.day, he hardly ever gets involved... yet, hes said he'd do anything for me, still brings up the past in a sensitive way, and keeps the old things i've given him, has told others we've gone out, and makes me feel like i'm the only one he's truly-ever had feelings for when we're alone. I'm confused, and he's confusing...i know his love towards me in the past was sincere, now - does he even care?

It sounds like me, based on the limited information, that he is taking you for granted, and doesn't feel he will lose you. That's why he doesn't feel so bad not calling you on your birthday and special occasions. If he feared losing you, he would be doing those things.....would probably even mark them on the calendar as to not forget. Now, I'm not saying to do anything crazy to make him realize you won't be there for him forever. First, I guess you need to figure out what you really want, and if that is truly that you want to be more than friends, or I guess even to make him realize he needs to be a better friend, you need to let him know in subtle ways that you would have liked to hear from him on those occasions and that you were crushed when you didn't. I honestly don't think he is avoiding you though. He just needs a reminder of how much you mean to him. Sorry if I couldn't help more......

Probably the same thing I do with girls too. I don't make too much of an effort to get with a girl, even if I really like her. May just be my ADD that makes me keep forgetting to call or invite her to something.

yes he does care... i think thats the real issue! he still loves u! its really quite obvious... he is trying to make u jealous with the other girls and he doesnt want to seem to clinging all the time.. guys generally 4get to call on special occasions and as u arnt together he probably feels that he doesnt need 2 anyway! talk to him about it and ask him how he feels and tell him how u feel! comunication is ur best bet! Good luck and God bless =)

everyone on here has the same complaint and I didn't even read half of this. I think we should all get a clue and be with someone that actually calls us, takes us out on a date and communicates. How hard is that to understand for us women?

It sounds like he loves you, he doesnt think you want him, so he's trying to play hard too get, stop playing games and be honest with him, and maybe he will be too. Most guys don't hang on to stuff if are over a girl.

some guys enjoy getting attention from girls. I would suggest that you take him out of his comfort zone and do something meaningful with your life rather than wasting your time on some bvody who may not even care about you. You deserve so much better.

I hate to tell you this, but it sounds as if he is moving on, but you are stuck in the time warp. He is having his cake and eating it to, because he knows that you aren't going anywhere, which is not fair to you. But only you can stop this, it is time to move on too, sweetie.

Guys are lame. I wouldn't think about it too hard. Just try moving on. It seems like he's just really immature. Just keep yourself busy and it'll be easier for you to move on.
