NOOOOO! Hello, curly hair is back!! Plus straighting your hair permanently will dry it out and if your hair is curly like mine it is probably already kinda dry :( When i got it done I thought it was going to be nice and shiny like many of my lucky straight haired girl friends...but it just looked like straw.

I have had my hair chemically straightened twice. It is not permanent. It is supposed to last for about 3 months but the first time I had it done it lasted for about 6 - 9 months. It can be damaging to your hair, but how much depends on what your hair was like in the first place, they give you all sorts of treatments during the process and there are shampoo's/conditioners on the market to keep hair healthy. A few years ago the process was more harsh than now, they have some new chemicals that are better than before. It is much the same as having a perm, except in reverse. From someone who has had mousy half curly unruly hair for years, I recommend it, at least once. It has made me feel like a new woman.

I do it to my daughter and it comes out beautiful, of course we have to go and get it trimmed 2 or 3 days later, but we've had no problems with permanently straighting her hair. After wards we use a good conditioner I don't use the stuff at the drug store I go to a beauty supply store for the permanent solution and conditioner. These people are professionals and they know their products. Best Wishes, I hope that I have helped.

Actually it is hard to tell dat whether u should make your hair permanently straighten or not.Actually it depend,if u think straight hair prefers on u then u should make it straight or if u think curly hair looks good on u then u can make it curly but i think u should use this machine 'Multifunctional Waver.' By this machine anytime u can make your hair wavy as well as straight also.

I don't think that it can be "permenently" straightened.
It will grow back,so it is not permanent. You could however have your scalp straightened and then your side swepts would not bang.
Must frighten all the dogs in the area.?

permanent straightening hair is bad, they use chemicals and etc. to make your hair straight.
your hair can get really damaged, and plus it only lasts for 3-4 months.
i think straightening your hair once in a while is totally worth it.

its up to you if you want to get your hair straightened. but it wouuld be a good idea to make sure that your hair (and most importantly your ends) are healthy enough to handle the chemicals, but once you get it straightened, your roots will start growing in curly again so you have to get it redone like hair color.
