If you arrive early, you are in the "A" group. Or you can do online check in 24 hours before flying and snag an "A" boarding pass.

Its all about when you check-in. Thats why I dislike traveling Southwest because you always feel under pressure. Even if you happen to get into that A group you still might not get the seat you want, as everyone seems to rush for the first few rows. Best advice is to check in on line as soon as you can, which is 24 hours before your flight. And if you can do that, you should get to the aiport like 2 or 3 hours early , as you still may get into the A group if you do that. It all really depends on how fast people check in for your particular flight.

Go on line 24 hours before the flight departs and check in online. The earlier, (within 24 hours), You go online and do it the better chance you have. I always do it just as soon as I can and always get an "A" boarding pass. You have to print it out and take it with you to the airport.

It is IMPERITIVE that you get your boarding pass on line in advance, but you literally need to be on the computer exactly 24 hous before your flight to get it.
