I was thinking it would be nice to have the inside of my man's wedding band engraved, I'm still in the process of deciding, I'm not sure if it would be to corney or if he would like it at all. Please let me know what you think or if you yourself have had this done, how your spouse liked it, thanks. Also Im thinking about giving the band to him as a gift on Valentines day, he gave me my band on Christmas.

Do it. I got mine engraved. If he thinks it's stupid - it's not like anyone else is ever going to see. I rarely take my ring off but when I do, it's a nice reminder of the love I have for my wife. You just have to make sure he'll like the band!

Never, never, NEVER get someones name tattooed on your body, if something should happen between the two of you, do you really want your next bf/husband to be reminded of your ex everytime they look at your body? Yes there are coverups, but it is hard to cover up a name on the finger (my step dad has this done, now it just looks like a block of ink from the cover up), and my mother has initials on her pinkie knuckle that is not only painful because the skin is tight and thin there, but she can't get rid of it now, and she's remarried!

get an engraving that ONLY the 2 of you will understand, maybe a date, a time or both, something totally special to the 2 of you. It sounds like an amazing idea, and I would do it for my partner to (if I had the money! lol)

Engraving should be a very personal thing, a secret message from you to him, something original and cute. If you can come up with something like that then go for it, much better that just plain old "I Love You", as nice as that is. The dates of your wedding is sweet, but try and add something in there that has meaning.

I think it is a fabulous idea. For obvious reasons, but also because of what happened in my family. My mom (83 y.o. now) got my dad's wedding band engraved. From *** to *** April 29, 1945! He passed away 8 years ago but they were married 52 years when he died. My mom gave the ring to my husband and now he wears it. I am going to have it engraved with our wedding date and pass it on as well. It makes both my husband and I happy to have a part of him as well as celebrate their long marriage. Hopefully ours will be as long or longer. When we show our friends, they think it's great and may do the same with their rings. To me, this is the best reason to engrave something. Not just for you and your future husband, but for your children. Who cares about the cost. To us it is priceless. BTW, been married almost 24 years now which is oh so and way too rare nowadays. Good luck and congrats!

I engraved my husband wedding band and he loved it. I even looked up things to engrave on it through the web for ideas...but a lot of them were really cheesy to me like together forever...(I'm very practical so) I picked... "My balance" because he was and is still that. Good luck in deciding!

I think engraving is nice... something simple like love, and the your initials. Also people say it is cliche, but I like Valentine's Day for giving a ring. Good Luck!

I'm not so sure about spending the money to have it engraved....I like the idea of having my fiancee'd naem tattoo'd on my ring fingure after we are married and he is doing the same with my name...Too many times I've lost ring and so have so many other ppl I know and then they are so upset cause they spent all this money. If you get his name tattoo'd that could show how much you care w/o the expensiveness of the engraving. But if you aren't into tattoos that's cool too.In that case the engraving sounds nice and I think you should go for it.Make it something that only you guys can understand or appreciate.Keep it sweet and simple.

I think that's a great idea. I'm sure he'll love it. Depending on your relationship, it should be something really personal...something the two of you share. If you have a cute nickname for him, incorporate that if you are a bit on the joking side with eachother. If the two of you are really mushy, make sure the engraving reflects that.

I would agree with most of the other people on here. Also, since I am engaged to a lovely man, I thought of engraving a Bible verse in his ring. He had my engagment ring engraved with a Bible verse. If you are religious (a Christian), I would suggest to pick a favortive verse you and him like.
