swollen neck??

My grandson has a swollen neck in the back, my daughter said he complained this morning but she didnt see anything tonight she said it was swollen. Does anyone know what this might be due to??

It could be any number of things I imagine. Swelling in the neck I would go to a doctor right away - too close to important arteries and the throat to mess with the neck. It could be an allergy (to a bee sting, mosquito, food or something) or a inflamed muscles or something else entirely.
