If someone is enrolled in a debt consolidation program can they co-sign on a loan?

Most people won't co-sign on a loan because they would be liable for the debt if you don't pay.

They can try but I doubt if they would qualify as a co-signer from any lender.

No bank would let them, as they would more than likely have a poor credit rating.
