Are those other expenses added to the value of the car when deciding if the car is totaled? Or is the auto body estimate seperate? In other words lets say a car is valued at $5,000.00 and auto damage estimate was $2000.00, the auto rental $500 and the towing $100. Does it end up being 2600.00 in damages or does it stay at $2000.00.

They are separate.

The vehicle's actual physical damage estimate is what is used in determining if it is totaled.

Rental and towing are separate expenses and do not count towards a vehicle being declared as totaled.

Your deductible is usually subtracted from the amount of the estimate. If your estimate is 2000 and your deductible is 500, you would receive a check for 1500.

It's seperate....that's why you pay extra for those benefits.
But for them to determine the value they normally use the Kelly blue book to determine value...if the cost exceeds or is close to exceeding the value they total it......if you are making payments...the lienholder gets paid first and then you.....if the remaining balance of your loan is less than the value ...you get stuck paying the balance of the car that was not paid.

Completely separate.

Rental is usually a separate item on the insurance coverage.
