I thought a seminarian had to have at least one love interest before he could become a priest. This way ensuring he is making the right decision for himself.

The Roman Catholic church has had a major problem with the sexual desires and, in some cases, actions of priests who joined the church young. You owe it to yourself and your church to explore your feelings now. I would also point out that while you are required to be celibate to be a priest, you are not required to be a virgin.

I'm not Catholic and I'm not gonna argue to any of your beliefs lol.
I do think that if you really wanna be a priest then you shouldn't look out for her, it's just not right for your religion that you have a girl. And if you're gonna change your devotion to your religion for a girl, man your faith isn't really that strong now is it?

Let's see... you want to be a priest, and you're looking for young men? Kinda scary.

It is a discernment for sure. Ask God to give you a sign of assurance if this is the direction He wants you to go. Have you looked into a seminary in your area?
