What all do i have to do, and how much would it cost, NOT INCLUDING the turbo assembly and wastegate.

it doesn't have a turbo in it.
1.9 285k miles. rebuilt engine and tranny in june '06

perfect condition.
project car.


im wanting to add one, if you did not here..

The question is... why would you want to, since your engine is pretty beat up already, and adding a turbo will just hasten its demise?

EDIT: Well, I don't recall any year that Escort had a factory turbo, not even in Europe, so you will *have* to go aftermarket. As someone else said, the Merkur turbo motor MAY be able to fit in the engine bay, so wholesale swap may be possible, or just strip the turbo and the electronics off of one and try to fit it? Then you'll probably need different headers and mounting points due to different plumbing... It's impossible to say. Probably easier looking for aftermarket turbo systems instead.

Why would you want to? Thats just a waste of money. Start buy saving up some money and buying a car worth putting money into.

It would be much easier to look for a Merkur XR4TI Turbo than convert yours :(

WHY THE HELL DO YOU WANT TO DO THAT???????!!!!???????? DO YOU HAVE SO MUCH $$$$$$$ THAT YOU CAN WASTE IT ON AN ESCORT? NO WAY SPEND YOUR $$ ON A HONDA CIVIC OR TOYOTA SUPRA IT WILL BE WORTH YOUR TIME.
