Get a humidifier set it to 35-45% in your home. Start taking Vitamin C, E, and Mixed Omega Fatty acids. Drink at least half your body weigh in ounces of water per day(100 pounds = 50 ounces). Use Eucerin Body lotion right after you dry off in the shower. After the Eucerin is soaked in a bit (20-30 minutes) put the lightest coat (rubbing it in) of Aquaphor on every night.

Take a warm shower or bath, and while your skin is still moist, rub baby oil into your skin. Do this on a daily basis. In addition, you can use lotion with Aloe and Vitamin E, that's made for extra dry skin. Make sure you don't use really hot water to shower or bathe in or alcohol based products because both will dry your skin out even more. The key is to keep your skin moisturized.

Are they red and patchy and itchy? Then see a dermatologist and they may giv eyou some steroid cream to help.
I'd try somethign OTC first, though. Straight up Vaselione is usually the best for me when my skin gets dry. I bath before bed and while my skin is still damp put on vaseline and rub it in good so you arent' all greasy. They it usually soaks in by morning and helps a lot. Lubriderm products are good, too, and not as greasy.
Good luck.

keep yourself hydrated by drinking plenty of water, and then slathering yourself with some body lotion like Jergens lotion for dry flaky skin. apply it everyday especially at night, and after a shower. also, if you take hot showers, you might want to try cooling the water a bit, because hot water will dry your skin out.
