Hi there! You didn't mention it, but I wonder if you're doing any strength training that's adding muscle to your legs... If so, you should stop. As far as whether to run outside or inside, it seems that either way will impact your legs the same.
I suggest you choose one of the other forms of cardio equipment, such as an elliptical, exercise bike, or rower. You'll still burn calories but with no impact to your legs, which is how I assume they're increasing in size. I'd recommend ellipticals, since they're easy to use, quiet, burn calories without building muscle on the lower body, they tone the upper body, and are normally lower in price than treadmills. However, the choice is yours. Whatever machine you choose though, you should be sure it's the type of cardio workout that you'll enjoy. I hope that helps! Let me know if you have any other questions...

A treadmill would be better if only for the purpose that you would use it more because of its convenience. Plus there is less strain on your ankles.
Neither is really going to help you get your legs any faster but a treadmill is better for other purposes.

i have a tredmill an for some reason it is so easy to run on the tredmill for so long, without even realizing it an actually havin fun. outside on the other hand u run out of breath an get sorta tired after a while (its because ur speed is not constant or percisly controlled) but they also say that the tredmill makes a big electricity bill (i don't no yet cuz i jus got mines so......)
but if it's the summer i think it'll b better to run outside, but in the winter (like rite now) on the other hand the tredmill is wat u need!! an i think that'd b a smarter choice all the way around

When boredom, depression, as well as stress causes cravings, find a nonfood way to satisfy them such as enjoying a walk, calling a friend, taking a bath, reading a book, or perhaps doing some yoga.

To much running or walking cause bulky calves, for slimmer looking legs you want to try something to elongate muscles like pilates stretching yoga... Not running or even machines like leg presses.

To get slimmer legs - the answer is simple
STAIRMASTERS - or any machine that is related i.e. - Step climbers.
40 minutes a day, 3 times a week and you will have the legs of a supermodel in no time.

I think you'd see greater benefits with a nordic track / cross country ski type machine. Tremendous calorie burner and overall great workout; especially for the legs! Good luck!
