Thrust for an aircraft cannot be generated without an accelerating fluid mass. However, rotary wing aircrafts may be considered as an exceptions because of its unique balancing and alignments of the four aerodynamic forces (Lift, Thrust, Drag and Weight). Whether we can consider the lifting force of a helicopter as thrust is a different question!

No one knows. But scientists use the concept of bending space to describe gravity, it is only model for used to describe how reality works under certain circumstances.. So: Gravity is like a bending of space or, Proton and electrons are like little balls Gravity is 'like' bent space for certain models. The same way that in reality protons are nothing close to resembling anything near what we think of as a ball, but in some descriptions its easy to visualize that way. You could just as easily be correct by saying an absence of mass creates flatness like the springs that pull on a trampoline. It is a model.

I would say piston engines, but even they turn a prop that generates thrust. Helicopters too, the main and tail rotors both produce thrust, much like a prop plane, and they even use turboshaft engines. Guess they all do that, just depends how you look at it.

There are none. All Engines use their energy to turn some type of blade. "prop" or compressor to force the air. thus, making forward movement as the air is blown rearwards.

None. If you use motors and take off, you'll be gliding your way to a landing.
