Okay, now this guy claims that god told him that the U.S. would suffer mass killings in 2007. This Pat Robertson character is so full of the s-word.

Yeah, I guess he would be out of a job. Hopefully he is wrong, but if anything does happen I still know that his "divine conversation" is b.s.

Wow, I saw that on yahoo news! I don't believe him because he should know that these things only God will know. Not to mention any of his predictions that are wrong he makes an excuse as to why they are wrong and says that he was not actually wrong because it happened in some form or another, umm.. yeah... the world happens.

Here's the thing about Pat Robertson. The guy has what I call "Ann Coulter Syndrome". He has made a career out of making ridiculous and offensive comments, and the only way he can keep that career going is by making each of his comments/predictions more ridiculous than the previous. He can't predict that the world will be peaceful in the year 2007, because the media will find that boring -- instead, he has to predict that massive amounts of people will die in horrible terrorist attacks and natural disasters. THAT will get him on the front cover of newspapers. But the thing is, like Ann Coulter, the next public prediction/statement he makes has to be even more ridiculous than that. He has to constantly keep outdoing himself; that's how he stays in the headlines. As far as whether he's actually a prophet or not... of course not. Like I said, he does this to draw attention to himself. And you can tell that it works, because we're all talking about him right now.

This is a guy who asked his followers to pray that god would put out a contract on supreme court justicies Robertson didn't like.
The best thing main stream christians could do to up their credibility is denounce people like Robertson who pervert god into their own political hitman.

I read this tonight -
Apparently last year he claimed that a tsunami would hit the US.
When that didn’t happen he pointed to spring flooding in the Northeast and claimed that was close.
But don’t be alarmed.
If spring flooding is almost a tsunami, I suppose that a mass rally protesting something or other would almost be a mass attack.

Pat Robertson attracts many like-minded people. There are, unfortunately, too many like-minded people. Fortunately they are pathetically uncreative and no serious employers will ever hire them. They have no choice but to become Pat Robertson's disciples.

I think he has delusions of godhood himself. Wasn't he the one last year that predicted major hurricanes destroying places in the US? After of course meteorologists were saying that. But guess what, they were all wrong. I wonder what he tells people when his predictions don't come true, "oh, sorry I must not have heard god quite right that time".

He'd be out of business if they didn't.
Seriously, think of the good that would happen if the people who give their money to that crackpot gave it to the homeless and hungry instead.
