I'm flying on China Airlines in economy class. Is there a power port in ecomony class? I wanted to watch movies on my macbook during the flight. What kind of adapter should I buy? Is there an alternative solution? Does anyone know what kind of power port China Airlines has? Thanks.

No, there is no power port in economy class. I don't think any airlines provide this service for economy. I know it's available for most business and first class.

You might need to bring along more than 1 battery if you wish to watch movies on your macbook.

Have a great flight.

Yes, every seat has power source...but you have to wait until the light turns to green...I used my laptop on China Airline 2 months ago for 14 hours flight...long and miserable...but I had my favor movies with me...That was a "Last Class" on flight! I don't believe I should pay $1.5k more for business class.

You don't need any adapter at all...as long as your transformer showing power from 100V-240V~1.5A 50-60Hz for INPUT, 15V for OUTPUT, you are able to use anywhere on earth; it will automatically change it for you...

For instance: Japan use 100V, USA use 110V, China and other countries use 220V...100V-240V covers all purposes...

Not when I flew them last. Of course that can change depending on the airframe.
