The first thing that comes to my mind is the term "Hypervolemia" and that's when there is way too much fluid in the blood. When there is a LARGE amount of fluid within the blood, the fluid has to go somewhere and that somewhere is located between the blood vessels and the tissues (aka Third Space). Fluid within the tissues is called "Edema" or commonly know as leg swelling, arm swelling, finger swelling and etc.

The kidneys are primarily responsible filtering toxins out, keeping important electrolytes in, balancing the body's pH (acid&base levels) and maintaining a good enough blood volume.

Also, with the kindeys out of order for a long period of time will lead to death of organs and along with those dying organs will results in a dying body.

So Kidneys that are not working is a very serious subject.

You need your kidneys to function in order to live. The kidneys help to flush out the waste from your system. I have an uncle whose kidneys did not function and was on dialysis. The long and the short of it is that he did not want the dialysis anymore and he died about few days later. I think that that they say that the body goes into septic shock, which basically means that it is steadily poisoned with bodily waste.

Basically the water you drink would go to your blood stream. Because of osmosis, your blood cells will start to suck in more and more water until they burst. These burst blood cells start to create a jam in your arteries and blood streams kind of like heart disease, and you would die because of the blocked bloodflow.
