When I was a 19yr old undergrad some ten years ago, about a third of the students in my department were in their early 30's and it was tricky talking about my projects with people who've already had a worldly knowledge and breadth of understanding in comparison; I felt quite juvenile! But no, you're at a great age because you're not too kiddie (wet behind the ears) and you're not too old that you can't keep up with these youngsters.
There was also this successful dental surgeon who studied art with me because he wanted to change careers, and a man who was 51 who had retired early because he was some kind of genious and wanted to design and invent at my school. So there, see?

No, 25 is not too old to start. You may be suprised that you won't be the oldest in all classes. A lot of older 35-50 people are attending these days.

No some of my friends are quite older than me. around 25 or even 30+ so still we get along very well and we don't mind that he's old and so. I think it is cool to be the oldest in the class. For they respect you and that they will surely follow your lead.

Nah, not if you're planning to go to a community college. There's people waay older than 25 there. The oldest I've seen is what... a woman in her early 50s?

Have mercy...you most likely won't be the oldest. I started college (again) when I turned 44. And I wasn't even the oldest in my classes!

Absolutely not! I'm 22 and in college. I have had students in my classes who were 10, 20, and even 30 years older than me. So if you want to start school I say, ''If you're alive and have the drive why not!''

You did not say what kind of school nor where you are
But , many Americans keep adding classes to their resumes well into their 50's . Education at the college level now runs the gamut of peoples lives . . . especially in California where junior colleges are very inexpensive.

Not at all- just pick a bigger college or university in a bigger city- you will blend in-- believe me- I went back to school when I was in my 30's and guess what? there were a lot like me.........
Good luck to you and guess what- financial aid should be easier to attain since anyone over 24 is considered an independent student so you can get subsidized and unsubsidized student loans.

no, i have a few friends that are as old as you and they seem to be doing just fine.
and you wouldn't be the oldest. i had a guy in my class, stand up before lecture to ask the class if we wanted to order girl scout cookies for his daughter at the end of class...
what i'm basically saying is..you'll do fine!
