I've asked this question already and I got a lot of answers (and very interesting ones), but I'm asking it again because I'm curious to get more opinions.

I see young women doing this ALL the time. Basically they bring one hand up to the side of their face near their hairline, and, using their middle finger, it looks like they're gently brushing their hair away with their finger...

But the weird part is that I've seen this done even by women who had less hair than Natalie Portman did in "V for Vendetta".

I've seen a lot of women doing this, and it's very intriguing (not to mention cute). Sometimes I have to stop myself from chuckling after I see a girl doing it.

Women will do a lot of things to get a guy's attention but this seems like a habit that they're completely unaware they're even doing. Some women I've asked have said the same thing.

Okay, even if she's got REALLY short hair, she probably hasn't had short hair her whole life and is doing it by habbit. We really don't do things like that to attract men on a consious level. However, if you're talking with a woman and she might be crushing on you a bit, she'll do it more out of nervous behavior.
Most women have had long hair for a good part of their lives and it's just like we get so used to brushing hair out of our face even if it's imaginary hair.
Hey, if you really like one you're with, try brushing it out of her face FOR her. She will see you as a very sweet and tender person.
Now excuse me. I've got to quit typing so I can get this hair out of my eyes. ; )

If a girl or a guy has ever had long hair, it gets in their face and they have to push it back... because it's annoying.. and most girls have had long hair at one point in their lives, so they're more likely to do it than guys are. But I've seen plenty of guys who do it, too... after a while, it just becomes habit, like anything else you do over and over.

I think it's an instinctive thing (done automatically, not necessarily on purpose or with an awareness of the action) to allow potential partners to see their faces better, or to draw attention to their faces. I've noticed girls with no hair do it as well. Or, they're just getting their hair out of their faces; I have short hair, and I catch myself doing it because I feel like I have hair in my face--even if I don't!...

I do it for some wierd reason to get a guy's attention when taling to him. It's a sort of body signal that I like him. It also makes me feel more comfortalble around a guy.

Why are you so obsessed with us brushing our hair with our hands? Don't you have anything else to do with your time?
