A mustang and a firebird leave the same point at the same time and travel in opposite directions. The mustang travels at a speed of 96km/h and Firebird travels 120km/h. How far apart will the cars be in 3 hours.

The Firebird will have traveled 360 kilometers. The mustang will have traveled 288 kilometers. They will be 72 kilometers apart in three hours.

Ok in three hours the mustang would to 96 times three Kilometers which is 288 and the firebird would travel 120 times three Kilometers which is 360. Assuming you are in europe and maybe traveling east and west across England in the skinny part they would be both in the ocean.

Because they are travelling in opposite directions the equation is (96km x 3) + (120km x 3) = 648 Km
