Hey just remember shoes are like people they both have souls/soles and what they look like should not matter if they have a good personality.
If they don't and they are as ugly on the inside then ask them if they would like a chew toy to go with their doggy bag because the date is over.

Just borrow a trick from Sex and the City. Get a friend to call you about fifteen minutes into the date. If it's going well, say, "I'll be there in a couple of hours." Then you can stay. If it's going badly, or if you're not attracted to the person, say, "I'll be there as soon as I can." Then leave. Do this for all your blind dates and you'll be OK.

I have had quite a few blind dates,at first it was embarassing,how to let them down gently,but just be honest(not rude) say,,I'm sorry but I don't feel there is any attraction,,ect.

Just be nice, see the date through and then you don't have to ask them out again. Just remember that everyone has feelings.

You should always have the phone call from a friend planned.
If they are not our type, you pretend the call is an emergency and you leave.
If they are a winner you do the "busy now call you back tomorrow" routine.

Assuming looks matter to you (and they seem to if you put it that way), be polite, keep the date short, and don't see the person again.

tell him/her that his /her date is with you sibling and that he/she
just called into work. Not allowing time to call and cancel.
Since he/she doesn't know what his date looks like, it could work.
