It might be weird if you have had opportunities. I think that you should go ice skating or roller skating on a date. This way you have a great excuse for holding hands.

No. You are sophmores, I don't think that it is strange. You are really too young for a serious relationship anyway. Some people are a little nervous about physical touch, at your age, you are still gettting used to these feelings. Well really at the beginning of any relationship, most people feel nervous about these things.

I don't think that this is a bad thing, you don't want to move to quickly and at your age, there really should be nothing more than holding hands. Take it slow. When relationships move too fast, they usually turn out badly, when you take it slow, you ease into things and becoime really good friends, then see where it develops from there. The biggest problem I think that most people make(at any age) is moving too quickly they don't get to know each other, then they realize that they really don't know each other.

Also some people aren't as affectionate as others. Maybe your bf is not comfortable holding hands. That may be just how he is. You may not be able to change that, you may just need to accept that that is how he is. If you can't then it may be time to move on. Another huge mistake that people make is attempting to change their partner, rather finding someone who has all the qualities they want.

First off honey, slow down. There is no set time as to when you start holding hands, touching, etc. You are young yet and have plenty of time for things like that. Rushing things won't help matters any, for you or him. Maybe he is just wanting to take it real slow. There is nothing wrong with that. I personally like a guy that takes things slow. That way, I get to know them before deciding if I want to be more intimate with them (holding hands, etc). It is definitely worth the wait.

If you really want to hold hands with him, then you make the first move. There is no rule saying that the girl can't make the first move. I am 42 and my fiance and I met each other 1 1/2 years ago. It took us a month before we ever started holding hands, etc. If we had rushed into anything, we probably wouldn't be together now.

If it's his 1st GF, he may just be shy and a little inexperienced. Cut him some slack and make that move, yourself. You ARE his GF now, so it's OK. He may even appreciate it and the pressure will relieve him a bit. Also, keep in mind that some guys are not that keen on showing affection in public, but I don't think this is his problem. Be slow, gentle and subtle with the hand move, so you don't surprise him too much or catch him off guard. If he responds positively, then there you go.........but if not, then it could be the latter reason.

No that's not strange at all. I went to a private Christian college and there were people dating/engaged who didn't even kiss each other for fear of lusting. (Unfortunately, I wasn't one of them who did that, but should've)

I think this is a wonderful way to get to know each other without letting the physical cloud your emotions.

Sometimes hand holding leads to more and more things. Now I'm not saying hugging or even a peck is wrong, but if the physical is allll a relationship is about, you're not getting to know the real person in my opinion.

Congrats, sounds like you may have yourself a gentleman.

Why don't you hold his hands first!! 2 weeks of dating....it's not wrong to hold hands. If you think that you may be his first girlfriend...then probably he is just shy or he doesn't want to break the respect....make the first move if you like him...

In today's society, some would consider it a bit odd. There are some "old fashioned" guys left I supposse. Don't rush it. (He's probably a virgin and scared.) You should be grateful he isn't one of the ones who just wants to jump in the sack day one and move on day 2. Might be a keeper honey. BEST of all, if you are experienced and he's not, you can teach him just what you like.!!!

Are you a teenager or a grown woman. If you are grown then it shouldn't bother. Maybe he is not a touchy feely person. It that is the only down fall then he sounds like a keeper. Focus on seeing if he can hold you heart not your hand.

it might seem weird to you if youve had more expirence in the boyfriend/girlfriend field. give him time, and if things dont move along take matters into your own hands and make the first move. like loop your arm through his, and slid your hand into his. but give him time ti make the moves.
