The only purpose to your life is that which you give it yourself.

And not to dodge the question, but my life is more complicated than can be summarized in one post. Though, I do enjoy life and try to live it to the fullest. Good and bad experiences all add to life and are worth treasuring.

For me, life means doing the best that I can to be truly connected to the being that give me life and the people that He has gathered around me. I live for the happiness of my family and close friends, to feel their love around me and to return their love to them, and in that way to feel the love of Christ in my life. I think I'm here as a sort of catalyst; I move people through phases of their lives, but I'm not quite a catalyst; others and the metamorphoses they go through in front of my eyes have a tremendous impact on who I am and the things I do. I sound extremely religious, but I'm more faithful than religious. I believe in God and Christ and I know that they work in the lives of everyone, but I am not interested in the finer details of organized Christianity. Life is about connection and realizing that you are here for a purpose, and that purpose is to figure out how and why you're connected to this world and the next the way you are.

I never thought of this before, not until my mom died in may. I have been thinking about this so much every single day. I know I live right now for my 4 children, I must give them values and provide for them, love and nuture them, I also support them and just be there for them. I live to go to work so I can pay bills, clothe them and shelter them and feed them but what is the meaning of life exactly? Why are we born ? I have never lost someone before that has impacted me the way my mom has and I am so lost without her. Why are we suppose to be so close only to be torn apart? Why are our roles to change, I was the daughter for all of my life and suddendly I have had to take my mothers place, I am the eldest sibling and everything has fallen upon me. I feel this is such a difficult transition and I don't understand why it had to happen? I also think about where do we really go after we finally stop breathing? What happens to us? I believe in god and Jesus and of course heaven because that was what was taught to me but I have such questions and wonders about all of the above. There is no one person in the entire world that really knows, they all have their ideas and opinions but there is no answer..... What is our purpose, I would also like to know how to I impact others? I feel so unimportant and unnoticed at times yet it is said we impact others in ways we will never know, we can influence others lives and not even know it. I know I am suppose to be greatful for being alive and having my life but why? I would also really like to know . I would really like to know the purpose of our lives.

You live everyday that should not hold you to linger in the past nor should think of what lies ahead for you might neglect to do what you have to do at this moment which could be important to your destiny..... which is death. You are the only one who can make a meaning to your existence. Whatever it is that is worth doing, do it now, each day you spend asking questions like that is a day wasted and your death may come without accomplishing anything except questioning.

Predominately considered to be a characteristic of humans, plants and animals. However, even inert matter is in constant movement and change. We continue to find life in places that we did not believe that it could exist, such as on the bottom of the sea floor around thermal vents. Perhaps our ideas of what is living and what is non-living are flawed and merely the measure of our ignorance and restricted powers of observation. Many consider that the earth is alive.

Tummy poking!

That is the purpose of my stay on this planet.

There are so many cute and cuddly critters out there that I just have to spend time huggin em, lovin em, and givin em a suprise poke in their soft, fleshy tummies. I enjoy poking the tummies of small animals, young children and babies, and also lonely women and old people when they are feelin glum. When nothing else seems to work, I usually employ said tummy poke. I poke em till they smile and/or giggle with glee. I poke em till they laugh and fall down on one knee :D

I think humans are especially adorable because it's like poking the tummy of an entire walking, talking, thinking UNIVERSE! WOOOOW what a POKE!

We have in our society today an identity crisis. We forget who we are and why we are alive. That can be a scary and painful thing that people go through. We forget our reason for living.
Make no mistake the reason we were created is to be with God in heaven and we should discern every means to that end.

We were created to be happy, and healthy, but we operated at limited ability, I believe that one day we will be perfect and all of that good stuff. I do find when I focus on myself a lot, I ask questions like this one and end up depressed, but I read my Bible, and found that Genesis has the answer to that question. I feel it's sufficient for me. Sure made me dig deeper.

I know that I had a specific purpose for coming here for this life. I hope that I am on the right road.
