Also, why do you ask irrelevant questions like " Why did God do this and that", or "why doesn't God...", or "well this part of the Bible don't make sense to me, (because I haven't read the whole chapter or book)?"... Listen let's make this simple; If (I say if to make you happy and hopefully follow this logic) God IS real, then he can do what he wants without explanation, whether you like it or not, right? I mean, there is someone powerful enough to make our universe, and he decided not to make everything simple and obvious and peachy, then isn't it better just to trust what he DOES tell you? *sigh, and yet, we are the ones using circular logic...I know this probably wont affect any of you, but I am just voicing my thought's and opinions, just like you guys do. God bless all...

BulaiAratyme: (sorry I cant spell ur name):
It is funny, I just encountered a whole page of evolutionists who say that we ARE NOT linked to the apes, that that was a misconception which has been corrected. Hmmmm...

Christy: I mostly agree with you, but I am not trying to force my opinion, I am just voicing it, in a tone that reflects my frustrations incurred from a day of debating with atheists.

Evolutionist are always looking for a way to convince themselves of foolish things in spite of evidence to the contrary.

Evolutionists invent all sorts of things as they go along.....everytime something doesn't work out right they invent another theory to keep it current with the latest discovers which keep invalidating their last assumption....it is really laughable

I didn't read the first part, so I'll just address what's here...

"...why do atheists/evolutionists ask questions to which they do not want an answer?" I've seen many people of faith who only want someone to agree with them, not actually answer a question on this board. It's not just atheists who do this. However, maybe they are looking more to inspire critical thought, not just mindless regurgitation of biblical quotes.

"...why do you ask irrelevant questions like " Why did God do this and that", or "why doesn't God..." They aren't irrelevant. If humans are expected to accept god, then they have the right to ask questions; it's human nature. Your god supposedly gave free will, and according to many of the answers that many of the faithful fling about, its so that people don't follow blindly (or like robots). Sometimes we're just asking you to take a different train of thought.

"...or "well this part of the Bible don't make sense to me, (because I haven't read the whole chapter or book)?"..." Sorry, but many atheists have not only read but scrutinized the bible, looking for the truths that we have been told it contains. I, for one, found no truth, and in many cases, direct contradiction.

"Listen let's make this simple; If (I say if to make you happy and hopefully follow this logic) God IS real, then he can do what he wants without explanation, whether you like it or not, right? I mean, there is someone powerful enough to make our universe, and he decided not to make everything simple and obvious and peachy, then isn't it better just to trust what he DOES tell you? *sigh, and yet, we are the ones using circular logic..." What has 'he' told anyone? You make a sarcastic statement about circular logic, and yet your belief system is founded on it: The bible is the ineffable word of god. How do we know its the word of god? The bible says so... Furthermore, if we are expected to believe that god gave everyone free will,(and please, tell me how an all knowing god didn't know that Adam and Eve would eat the fruit, who told them what the fruit would do, who told them they were naked, etc.) then how is accepting this "truth" blindly and only on faith, using a gift from god?

Well, I am an atheist and I want answers to my questions. That's the point isn't it. What I think you really mean is why do we ask questions we already know the answer to. To make you THINK about it (as we have already done).

Also, why is the "Why did god do this" question irrelevent? It's very relevent because we are trying to get you to see how illogical it all is by actually thinking it through.

Isn't it better to trust what the bible tells us? Well, what if the bible is wrong and the Muslims are right? What if Satan wrote the bible pretending to be god? What about all the time and energy spent with religion?

Also, can you give me an example of how atheists use circular logic. Circular logic is like saying "The bible is true because it says it is".

So you believe in an omnipotent, insane deity whose actions are not understandable?

I prefer to think that the universe, while it might not be obvious, can be theoretically understood. I am even willing to accept that a creator might have a role in it but only if evidence for that creator is discovered and only if that creator acted through natural means.

I am not willing to believe in Jesus as god because the bible says so any more than I am willing to believe that Mary was the wife of Jesus and Sarah was his daughter because other books say that this is the case. They both represent 2,000 year old traditions which have persisted to the present day. Of the two, the Sarah tradition is more believable.

For that matter, why not believe the older tradition that Zeus made the virgin Leda pregnant and Hercules was born? It makes as much sense as Jehovah making the virgin Mary pregnant and having Jesus being born.

Same reason you ask stupid questions. And don't say you have all the evidence, cause you don't. And yes, you are the ones using circular reasoning:

How do you know the bible is right? Because it is the word of God. How do you know the bible is the word of God? Because it says so in the bible. How do you know the bible is right? Because it is the word of God. How do you know the bible is the word of God? Because it says so in the bible. How do you know the bible is right? Because it is the word of God. How do you know the bible is the word of God? Because it says so in the bible. How do you know the bible is right? Because it is the word of God. How do you know the bible is the word of God? Because it says so in the bible....

Savvy?

They think that they are more intelligent and more knowledgeable than the believers. They want the believers to think that they are even wiser than the One True God.
However, there will be a time they rush to Him to seek protection, like people in previous generations who oppose in the beginning but become most faithful afterwards.

Up to date believe in God and Jesus here.

Modern Science (new agers) no longer believe in Man/Ape, they believe man was a separate and distinct species.

Monkey men is old hat, like Pluto is a planet or Freud is Psychiatry.

When everyone agrees that HUMAN biological EVOLUTION takes millions of years, how does a 150 year old theory manage to PROVE ANYTHING about HUMAN evolution in 150 years?

Yeah, we can look at the virus that lives 30 days.

We can look at far less complex creatures like PLANTS, but you can't GRAFT an ARM or LEG on a HUMAN and make it work.

Evolution is FINE and DANDY and maybe in 5 MILLION YEARS we might complies some COMPELLING DATA that MIGHT LEAD to some LAWS or some SOOTHSAYING tarot card readings that are somewhat probable.

Right now, it's ASTROLOGY.

And in 1000 BC ASTROLOGY could Predict the Return of Mars, Jupiter, Saturn and Venus in the skies with GREAT accuracy!

Evolutionists can't even go that far.

I believe goblins are our future

The future of human evolution? (Click to embiggen)When we look to the future, we look to perfection.

Fans of Star Trek see humanity seamlessly working together, while the film Gattaca, with its improbably good-looking cast, suggests we will become more beautiful.

But one evolution expert has come up with another theory on what some of us will become – dim-witted, squat, ugly goblin-like creatures. Not unlike Gollum from Lord Of The Rings, in fact.

Dr Oliver Curry, of the Darwin @LSE Centre at the London School of Economics, says the Gollums will be part of a genetic 'underclass', while an 'upper class' will be slim, healthy, attractive, intelligent and creative.

Such as sharp divide was predicted by HG Wells in his 1885 book, The Time Machine, where the ape-like Morlocks preyed on the fragile Eloi.

But Dr Curry's study predicts man peaking by the year 3000 with humans becoming giants up to 7ft (2.13m) tall.

Race will be a thing of the past and everybody will be 'coffee' coloured and live to 120 years.

Men will exhibit symmetrical facial features, look athletic, have squarer jaws... and bigger penises, Dr Curry believes.

Women will develop large, clear eyes, pert breasts, glossy hair, even features and smooth, lighter, hairless skin.

But, after 10,000 years, reliance on technology will see our genes degenerating and some humans could begin to resemble domesticated animals, or even children.

In about 100,000 years, sexual selection will breed greater and greater inequality and see the emergence of the two HG Wells-style sub-species.

Dr Curry said: 'The future of Man will be a story of the good, the bad and the ugly.

'While science and technology have the potential to create an ideal habitat, there is a possibility of a monumental genetic hangover due to over-reliance on technology reducing our natural capacity to resist disease, or our evolved ability to get along.'

Dr Curry predicts that eventually this will result in people splitting into two categories – either the healthy superhuman elite or the genetically disadvantaged Gollums.

Sexual selection will allow people to be choosier about who they mate with, thereby reinforcing the distinctions.

What do you think?

Do you believe humanity will evolve into two seperate species? Are you already a 'dim-witted, squat, ugly goblin-like creature'? Are you married to one? Do you think Dr Curry has underestimated the effect that developmental and environmental factors have on phenotypic expression in human populations? Do you doubt that the conditions he describes would truly allow for the form of sympatric speciation he suggests? Do you wish scientists would stop doing 'studies' like this as promotional tools for TV companies, when they just reinforce the idea that science works by basically making stuff up? Tell us in the comments!

listen, dude... you don't get it do you? they want an answer, but they don't want someone forcing their own opinions down their throat...

God does want people to question him... he left blank spots so that people have to question it & then have the FAITH that it is true. that is the whole point. everyone who does believe in the God you are speaking of, did at one time question his existence. otherwise, they don't actually believe it. God is all about FAITH. period. it is all about trusting him.

if you give up, act so arrogant and angry, and don't have patience with people with other beliefs... you are only pushing them away from your beliefs. so, if you truely believe in God, then wouldn't you want to convert other people to him rather than pushing them away? hummmm.....
