Good for you, a girl with respect for herself, saving yourself for marriage. Bless you. I think the ex just wants to be a little nosey, sort of a ego thing, he probably would have rather you boo hoo over the break up. It is okay to be friends, but your a very smart lady and probably already know to keep it less than even casual friendship. He dumped you, probably best thing that ever happen to you. Girl, I am so impressed with you, you are going to make some man a wonderful wife.

Kudos to you for wanting to save yourself until marriage! Most people continue contact with their exes for many reasons, one of them being a way of holding on. I don't doubt that there will be guys who leave a girl who doesn't put out. I don't know the entire situation (like did he dump you for someone else?) but my personal take on this without passing any judgment is that it may be that he could be holding on to the possibility that he may eventually get you to give him what he wants and this could be his way of manipulating himself back into your life. Stick to your original plan about waiting until marriage. If you give him what he wants, he probably won't be around because if he truly cares about YOU, he wouldn't have left you in the first place.

Hmm...it's hard to say but I know after a year away from my ex that I disliked very much, we finally started to talk again. I guess you just shared a special contection with that person that's so hard to overcome. Sometimes it's good to see your ex, rekindle what you had lost and sometimes it boost's your self-esteem to know you're doing so much better without them, see how much you've grown. It's not a bad thing and if this is a mature adult relationship then he may not be after sex.

Hmm... tough one... I guess it's because he still has some feelings for you that he wants to see you every now and then. He probably misses you, especially if you were together for a long while. Even if he still has some feelings for you, you don't have to think he still wants to be your boyfriend, he might just want to be your friend... That's not such a hard concept to grasp now, is it? So... as long as he doesn't harras you or stress you out, I don't think there's any problem in you guys hanging out (if you enjoy that, ofcourse)...
Take care!

He just really wants to be your friend....can you be that without sex ??? Hanging out with an old friend is better than being in a bad relationship....at least you have things in common, you don't have to worry about sex and you can go home and feel good about yourself...
I like men as friends...whats not to like..???

Maybe he likes hanging out with you as a friend, have you ever considered that? I have an ex-girlfriend that I've remained good friends with. It's been a positive thing.

Some are honest and only want friendship, while other are seeking for more. You just gotta see and know the guys way of being. I Know you said guys, but you gotta take everyones advice, guys aren't always honest on this kind of stuff.

well, guys usually kinda sometimes regret things, or they are just being a player. When you stay friends with a girl, let say for instance he breaks up w/ his present gf, he comes back to u, knowing ur there.

Sometimes you're a better friend with an ex then you ever were a partner. he sees that and wants to maintain that freindship. What's wrong with that?
