138 pounds on a 5'8" frame is an excellent weight. You don't need to lose at all.
As far as your gut goes, do cardio and crunches, otherwise that gut won't go away, it'll only get worse. Another tip, while you are doing the cardio, pull in your gut. It'll make those abs firm up all that much faster. At least, it did for me.
Try attending a reputable gym...they should be able to give you the advise you need.
Just, don't lose weight...you don't need to.

138 sounds like a very healthy weight for a girl who is 5'8".
To the comment about that being "not even really fat". For the record that is not even near fat.
