Wake up beanball...people are found innocent all the time... Americans....last year, a black man that had served 17 years of a life sentence finally got his turn at the back file convict listing for DNA testing and it proved he was innocent...what did he do? Held his head up, met his family and tried to move on (and NO, you cannot sue the government for serving time when innocent, both states and feds are protected by law from these suits) some states provide a small amount of cash for each year served by an innocent person but most don't. You're just sh it out of luck. And people in US prisons are being found to have been innocent every single month because of DNA technology.
If an American can deal with decades of false imprisonment and go on with their lives then so can some mohammadans.

first of all you do not know for sure that this is actually happening at Guantanamo. Don't believe half of the crap that the news media filled you up with. The prisoners at Getmo are there for a reason. The military just didn't round up these folks to send them to Cuba and torture them. They are terrorists. We do not deal with terrorists in any fashion. They are lucky to be breathing. I have NO compassion for anyone who would go around Baghdad and kidnap and torture innocent men women & children and then behead or kill them in cold blood with out mercy. They are scum. These terrorists should be in the same dark hole Saddam is in now.

it is indeed unfortunate that so many people believe the proganda from the ultra left and Moslem brotherhood. The facts are that most of those detained are much better off than they were before being captured. There is a LOT of effort to ensure that they are not mistreated. Unless you consider that some of them have gained over 100 lbs in prison....so....that could be torture I guess.

Are you kidding? None of that crap happened... those prisoners are living in a tropical paradise, compared to where they came from. The torture for them is being released and made to go back home. They can't very well tell their families how much nicer it was in prison camp than at home, so they tell them they got bathed in menstrual blood. What a bunch of crap.

Go back to my hut in the armpit of the world that is Afghanistan. Hook back up with my poppy-farming husband. Put back on my burkha. Never leave the hut without one of my male relatives. No reading, because I can't. Practice duckdiving everytime someone yells, "RPG incoming!"
Try to cross the boarder into Russia or Pakistan. Probably be caught again by coalition forces, all part of my plan to go back to the good life at Gitmo where you get 3 meals a day and everything doesn't smell like camels.

I would thank Allah that I did not have to suffer any real torture.
BTW - aren't you so glad that you can slander people who cannot speak up in their own defense? How would you feel if I were to make accusations against you - but you were not allowed to defend yourself?
(And I bet you claim to 'support the troops."

I'm not a Vietnam Vet. and I'm not pretending to be one here, but I would do the same thing the US Vietnam vets did when they were released from VC prison camps. I would hold my head up high, live my life with dignity and respect and never forget who my brothers were that were lost during the war.

Did I get to smoke any Cubans? If not, I would get my hands on some. To visit Cuba and not get to smoke the best cigars in the world would be tragic.
