You have a couple of options. Next to the driver's license place a paper with your current address and a list of phone numbers. If you have a cell phone, make an entry with the the letters ICE. This stands for In Case of Emergency and put in a phone number. Emergency personnel are supposed to know to look for this on cell phones in emergency situations. Otherwise up date your DL.

I have numbers named ICE 1, 2 and 3 in my cell phone. ICE = In Case of Emergency. They are boyfriend and family numbers and in most cases if they need to contact someone paramedics of hospital staff will try as best they can to do that or contact the owner of the vehicle and work their way through until they can find someone. You could also put an In Case of Emergency card in your wallet or purse.

Put ICE in ur cell phone and put a number of who u want to be contacted. It stands for "In Case of Emergency" and is becoming increasingly popular as an emergency contact that makes it easy for authorities or hospitals to know who to call for u.
Hope that helps.

If you don't have a cell phone to list that stuff on and your contact card is also dated
Your DL has your name on it. it is one of the ways they identify you to retrieve your hospital records to determine how to treat you and also they have records on your hospital file as to who to notify in case of a Emergency. If that information that the hospital has is dated as well then I guess you are on your own if you own the car you are driving then by all means register your car in your name and while you are at it update your license and stuff .Unless this is just a hypothetical question. That is how. Now why do you plan on getting in a horrible car accident? May I ask?

A lot of states are entering this information in a database that can be accessed by swiping your license. In Florida we go online, enter our driver's license number and enter the emergency contact information. A lot of other states do the same thing. Google "Department of Motor Vehicles" with your state name to see if your state does.

Most people have something on them to identify them. Even if they have your name - you're driver's license isn't the only way the police can find your address. I have about 60 things in my purse alone that will tell them about me. My business cards, paystubs, credit cards, phone numbers, cell phone...........
And even if I didn't, and the car wasn't mine - they would start with who the car is registered to and work from there. Who had the car? Where were they going?

Possibly by your health card and/or hospital card. They could look in your wallet and input your number and find out lots of info about you.
