No, you don't have to check your credit score daily. However, it is recommended to check your credit history on at least an annual basis. At your age, it may be worth checking your credit history just in case of any fraudulent activity such as identity theft. You are able to retrieve free credit reports from https://www.annualcreditreport.com/cra/index.jsp... A free credit report once every 12 months from three nationwide consumer credit reporting agencies.

Also personally inquiring for your credit score will not bring it down. What will bring your score down is when you apply for credit cards or loans and you approve the financial institution to inquire your credit score.

You'll have a credit score only if you've had any credit accounts to your name, or co-signed w/ someone else. However, like they answered before, checking your credit score too often (regardless of age) will actually lower your score. Check it at most once a year, unless you suspect fraud.

good question. I honestly think you should have someone check to see if there is something possibly opened in your name with you SSN. I have heard horror stories of 5 years olds with bad credit due to identity fraud.

The answer for you though is no. You won't have a real credit file until 18.

Um, no... It's never necessary to check your score daily. In fact, it could hurt your score to be retrieving it that often.
