Creationism isn't scientific... why pretend it is?

2007-01-02 15:18:03 · answer #1 · answered by Anonymous · 0 4

I think creationism and science can go together. I believe God gives us scientific knowledge as a gift but so many people try to use to explain him away who gave it to us in the first place. The bible has many scientific facts in it that no man knew at the time. It's proof that the bible was indeed inspired by God who knows everything and that the creation really did happen like it said it did. There was no way those simple Jewish men could have known these facts so accurately when they were not even discovered yet.

Creation as recorded in the Bible, is an amalgamation of ancient Hurrian and similar accounts of creation. These were added to the Bible to create a background for the Faith Bible starting w/ Abram. The borrowed creation stories repesent the best of science and religion struggling to interpret life/world circa 3k bc.
So yes - that is the way creationism was first "created."

Creationism starts with its desired result. Then picks out evidence to support it ignoring everything else. If you applied any scientific method to creationism, it would not be the same creationism we presently know.

Yes. But anyone who tried it would be ignored if they got any other results other than that Creationism is false, due to the biases in the scientific community today.

We live on a planet teeming with life. Plant life with approximately 250,000 species, animal life with over a million species. Scientists are learning just how complex life is. So complex that it requires design. The evidence of design requires a designer. Scientists are also learning the conditions for life; just how perfect conditions here on planet Earth are to support all this life.

The human brain, it absorbs forty megabytes per second of data while awake. That is two terabytes of data a day. At night, it sorts and stores that data through the creation of new chemical bonds and synaptic connectors.

Sure, right, this all just happened and evolved. This sort of thinking takes considerable faith, exponentially more faith than believing in a creator.
