Expect to find service providers and people who you may want to hire for your wedding. Not sure in TN, but from where I am, bridal shows are dominated by gown designers and makers, photo and video providers, caterers, cake makers, hotels, resorts, venues and events planners. They all want to advertise their product or service.

It is also a good place to compare and shop for all your wedding needs. That is good since they will be in one roof. What can be better :)

I went to two bridal shows. One was just at my local mall. It consisted of different local vendors sitting at booths. You could grab samples of stuff and get information. It gave me some good leads.

I also went to a big bridal show, probably like the one you're going to. It was terrifying! I was fighting off extremely aggressive, over-priced vendors all night! But if your budget is higher than mine was, it might not be so bad for you.

Every wedding service that you can imagine will be on display there. This a good time to take a lot of notes and compare services and prices. If you have any friends that have gotten married recently, ask them for a list of service providers that they used. Photographers, videographers, musicians, co-ordinators, cake makers, gown designers, invitations and thank-you card designers, travel agencies, etc. You get the idea. They will have everything you need and a lot of things you don't need for the perfect wedding.

well i imagine that most bridal shows follow the same format. there are contests to enter to win stuff for your wedding. there are booths set up for all sorts of services from rings to cake to dresses to honeymoon planning to places to register. i went to 2 before a got married. i found it to be helpful in some departments. i talked to many different people, and got a lot of tips, and information. you'll probably get a bag to carry around to grab info packets from different vendors. enjoy!
