Do you view athiests as evil shadowy figures that'll eat your children while you sleep? Or just average people with different views and beliefs on life?

They are intelligent, as I myself am one.

Religious people can be so sucked into their religion, that the virus of faith will instead of seeing the Bible as evil they will asume that all nonbelievers are evil, and instead of seeing it as a matter of belief, they think it is morals, when there are plenty of moral atheists, and immoral Christians.

It's the religious nuts you have to watch out for. They'll Brainwash your children turning them into mindless drones that sing gay songs, close their eyes with their hands in the air and waiving them around like they just don't care. Giving all their hard earned money to the Church they go to because Jesus wants money. What the hell does God need money for anyway! The Preachers need to get jobs and work for their money not spew out some religious talk and get paid. The Gospel is free! Religion Sucks! I'm not an athiest but I sure don't like Religious NUTS!

I have friends who are Atheists, it their choice. They respect what I believe and I respect what they Believe. Sometimes they may question me about God or Jesus and I give them an answer and they OK with it. They live good lives, help people and not eat the children. Actually there a verse in the Bible where Jesus is coming down hard on the Pharisees. Jesus tells the Religious leaders that the Gentiles (At that time unbelievers) are living more Godly lives than they are.

just because someone is a differant religion doesn't mean that they're going to stalk you down and eat your babies. Your question is kind of like, "How do you feel about people who are jewish" or "what do you think about people who belive in Santa"?
People's set of belifs do not determine who they are strictly. True it can be of influance, but it's not vital. People with no religion can funciont just as well as other people who have a religion that may be differant from the next guy.
Just because now a days the religious wars have gotten more intense doesn't justify beliving one is "bad" while the other is "good". They all mostly originated from the same basic place and crossed paths somewhere along the line. It is unfair to lump one group together and sterotype them just because they are differnat then you.

"An Atheist loves himself and his fellow man instead of a god. An Atheist accepts that heaven is something for which we should work now – here on earth – for all men together to enjoy. An Atheist accepts that he can get no help through prayer, but that he must find in himself the inner conviction and strength to meet life, to grapple with it, to subdue it and to enjoy it. An Atheist accepts that only in a knowledge of himself and a knowledge of his fellow man can he find the understanding that will help to a life of fulfillment." Murray v. Curlett

We are all born atheists. It is not until our narrow mined parents try to instill religious dogma into our innocent young minds about some god and we must and do fear him for the rest of our confused lives. You speak of eating children. Is not jesus that tells us, this is my body, eat of it. This is my blood, drink of it. Sounds like a cannibal to me. Now that is gross. Just keep listening, and follow the wisdumb of the "PRAYNOGRAPHER" "live your life in a happy way. Do a bowl to start your day!

People with different views and beliefs on life. I do not agree with them but I don't make them out to be evil. I usually say a prayer for them that they will one day find peace in god. Beyond that, what can I do? It's their choice.

Actually, the shadowy figures that supposedly eat children are Witches, like me. We don't eat children though, much to the dismay of some fundamentalist preachers who tell the world that we do.

Atheists, like witches and christians and muslims are people with a philosophical view. That's it.

oh well thats a good question and i will answer this as honestly as i can.I've been browsing around in the forums and i see that most of the people are athiest and i really don't care b/c thats none of my business. But when someone disrespects my religion and says that There is no God and that we are dellusional that makes me really angry b/c i respect people outside my religion.
i really don't think there should be none of that b/c all of it its just uncalled for.And i mean saying christians are dellusional doesn't really change anything so to the people that do that save you're uncalled for comments.they really don't mean anything it just proves what kind of person you are.and the only thing i can say is god bless you.Anyways i think to me there can be different types just like there are different types of christians.

They are the most deceived people on the planet. Often by their own choosing. I wish they were more intellectually honest with themselves, and I mean the more educated of the atheists. I view them as having an extraordinary amount of faith, to believe what they do, like evolution, or darwinianism, etc. I feel bad on some level, and then no pity at all on another. But for all people, that I think may end up in hell, I hope and pray they see life for what it is. My heart goes out to them.
