Some anti-depressants are supposed to help with social anxiety...but I wouldn't go that route unless you have severe issues. You just need to train yourself to get over your shyness. If you can't do it on your own, try therapy.

I think you could go to therapy if you wanted too... that could help. But i know when i was in middle school and younger, i was extremely shy.. but over the years i overcame it a little bit.. I'm not saying like i became the loud mouth of the group, but i became fidgity, and found a couple friends that made my life content.

Shyness is not cured by medication. You need to get counseling if you want to learn how to be less shy.
