I've had true panic disorder for over 5 years now. Yes, sometimes it does make me feel like i'm going to puke in my lap. It also makes me shake like a leaf on a tree. Sometimes I can't even talk or get my thoughts straight when it is happening.
Sometimes, I wonder "am I dying?" They are very real and very VERY scary.
I suggest talking to your doctor about getting put on an SSRI like Zoloft or perhaps some Klonopin. Also, try to breath really slow when in happens. Take slow, deep breaths and try to count. It might help to keep it from being a full blown attack.
Good luck and hey, you can go to Groups on yahoo and join a group of people who suffer as well. It's nice to know you're NOT alone and you NOT crazy.
God bless you. I'm so sorry that this is happening to you.
Please talk to doc, okay?
(((((((((hugs))))))))))))

I used to suffer from anxiety/panic attacks. I would feel like I was going to die. shivers, sweating, crying, sick to my stomach, just horrible. One day I had an attack in theDr's office. He had never seen an attack but knew all the signs. I took 15 min to recover and was prescribed clonazepam. I occasionally feel I am working up to an attack, and have Ativan for that.
. You could well be having anxiety attacks talk to your Dr

Are you sure it is an anxiety attack and not some other condition causing your symptoms?
