what do you think is the best parade to go to in NYC and why? I like going to the Labor Day parade, because of all the food they sell, the costumes, the bands and floats. Even though it did get sort of wack for the last couple of years by banning alchohol and NYPD being strict with the onlookers, I still think it's a good expreince for people who is interested in seeing Caribbean culture, and enjoying great food.

The most colorful and exciting parade in New York is the Halloween Parade in Greenwich Village. I love the music at the St Patrick's Day parade. The West Indian Day parade in Brooklyn is also very colorful. It's more like a huge street fair.

The best parade is the Gay Pride parade - the last Sunday in June.
Unlike a lot of the others, they let EVERYBODY march in the Gay Pride parade, no matter what race, religion, age, etc.
The music from the various floats is great, and there is a great street fair at the end.
