I always timed my work outs to end at lunch. Great way to avoid snacking and great reward for the sweat.

No, you do not have to eat after excersise, When you work out your metabolism fastens up for sure, but do you necessarily have to consume foods afterwards???---no! They always say that working out in the morning is the healthiest thing to do because u are working on a tired digestive system that has been rested the whole night, thus storing less food. I work out in the evening because i like my sleep, and i usually don't eat afterwards... However if you do feel like you're Starving... then my fav meal i would suggest would be a Cucumber/tuna-boat: just peel the C & cut it in 1/2 down the middle, core the seeds and then stuff tuna-a little mayonaise, relish, etc, where u cored the seeds... It's Extremely refreshing and besides the mayonnaise it packs a lot of healthy essentials! you wont get that fatty stuffy feeling from it either. But Hell last year my roomate & my lingo was Eat-Whatever-The-Hell-You-Want! But just make sure you work your *** off afterwards!

Hopefully i helped!

You should actually eat before and after your workout. Before have a complex carb like oatmeal- it'll give you a boost of energy but it'll be longer lasting than what you get from a simple carb (white bread, pasta, etc). After the workout have a proteine like tuna fish salad on wheat toast or some hardboiled eggs The proteine will help your body repair your muscle tissue and keep it from wasting as your body burns calories.

Yes, you should eat after exercise. The primary component is carbohydrate as it needs to be replenished after exercise. So a sports drink (Gatorade, powerade) and a light carb snack (bread or light pasta is good. This will help you recover and repace the muscle glycogen you expended while exercising. The research shows that something should be ingested within 45-60 minutes after the exercise bout.

You should eat after exercise...in fact your metabolism is in "high-gear" for up to 5 hours after a workout so your body will be telling you it needs something to eat!!
Protein is important...it repairs the microscopic muscle tears that occur exercise. Personally, I also crave fruit after a workout....I find that the fructose (fruit sugar) helps me recover my energy too.
My advice is fruit for immediate energy and protein for repair.

YES it is most important to eat after exercise to feed your muscles and body.
Nothing to heavy though, a protein shake or bowl of porridge and fruit, Try to cut out coffee and drink herbal teas and green teas and lots of water.

you could eat after excersise if you'd like to but not so heavy food, just eat vegetables or fruits, bcoz if you eat fried chicken your exercise is useless.
