24 - 35 lbs 80mg per teaspoon, 1 tsp for her. You need to read the label and call the doctor to double check. it's hard to get a 2 year old to take a tablet unless it's chewable. yes, 1 tablet if the is 80mg of acetaminophen in each tab. try a cold washcloth on forehead first. Temp goes over 103 - call doc, any higher consider ER. High fevers usually go in spurts of 30 minutes. Turn on sponge bob and be ready for long night.
So? What happened? Did the fever break????

Not without calling her pediatrician or pharmacist. Most pharmacies will help you out over the phone with stuff like that. I'd also be concerned about giving a two year old a tablet or capsule or any kind of pill. Or is it chewable? Anyway, call your pharmacy and/or pediatrician to be sure.

It's not necessary to call the doctor, you can just call a CVS or Rite-Aid, and talk to a pharmacist. They can give you the correct dosage based on the medicine you have and your child's weight or agre. Either way, you can give your child one tablet (are they chewable?). Even if is it a little too much, which I doubt, doing it once won't hurt her a bit.

Yes, that'll work. Remember, a fever is the body's way of fighting infection, and the Tylenol is to relieve the body aches/chills that often accompany a fever. The best remedies are hydration and sleep. (Advice not just for children but for adults as well!)

When my daughter was 2 she had to take a prophylactic antibiotic everyday. And she hated bubblegum flavor, which baffled me. I thought every kid liked it. But sometimes you just have to work with them. I would have the medicine in one hand, and her favorite juice in the other. It worked for bribery, and also helped her get the medicine taste out of her mouth. After awhile, she accepted that it was necessary for her to do this everyday. Kids adjust well to routine. She didn't always enjoy it but understood it was part of our day. Good luck.

Yes cut it down for the weight. Is the child cutting more teeth. Or worse. Liquid tylenol for children usually goes by weight. you are on the right track.

Yes,that would be the right dose. But why not going to the nearest 24 hour drug store for a liquid Tylenol,so it would help your child and you can be comfortable with your decision.

those of us who have children and are somewhat paranoid will tell you what are docs have told us YES. Childrens tylenol is the same substance as adult tylenol but obviosly just in a lower dose and in liquid form for ease.

I think it really wouldn't hurt her to give her the two chewables. My nephew weighs about the same and is the same age and the doc actually recommended that dose for him. I wouldn't tell you so if I thought it would hurt her. i hope she gets to feeling better.
