I was raised in a convential christian household. I am now a complete atheist. However, as I live in Britain, and as the best public schools are faith schools, my daughter goes to an excellent catholic school. I have no problem with that, no qualms whatsoever. I know that exposure to the christian ethos will not harm her, if she takes it all with a grain of salt, and when she has had a good education, she can believe what she wants, or even be an atheist, like her dad. so my advice is - milk the system, get married, have all the funerals in the world - it's all wonderfully meaningless and you should enjoy life to the full.

You get married by a justice of the peace instead of a priest, simple. People do it all the time. You can have your wedding in a park, or anywhere you like.
Why you'd need a funeral is beyond me, however. A funeral is for the church to send your soul to God. If you don't believe in God, why do you need one?
If the idea of having a gathering for family to say goodbye is what you're looking for, have a memorial at the funeral home ... it's done every day.

This is a simple matter of financial choice in your area all religions want converts so work out the cheapest for marriage and when the time comes for dieing you can convert to the cheapest funeral directors. Although you could have your family lie to the director if he does a special rate that a masonic mate told you about.

Of course. You can have a civil marriage ceremony and get married in a court house or use a judge. You can have a non religious funeral.

If you don't believe in religion, you should get married by a justice of the peace. As for funerals, most funeral homes take care of that for you as per your instructions.

Go to the courthouse, Vegas...actually there's no hard and fast rule that says you must get married in a church, there are many ways to go about doing it. Funerals...funeral homes aren't churches.

If you feel that that the rules associated with religion don't reflect your spirituality, I suggest you write your own vows and plan your own funeral.
You don't have to leave those ceremonies up to other people. And as far as the legality of the marriage, just go get the license from the court.
Good luck!

Justice of the peace, mortuary. You know too much to believe in religion, but you don't know where to get a secular marriage or funeral?

secular humanism can provide a celebrant for either ceremony, or you can have a friend become ordained in the Universal Life Church, no superstition required, then they can perform the wedding ceremony to you.
Not all marriages are vows to god.
